I’ve had the pleasure to work with Pierce for the duration of my 3rd season in Trail for the Smoke Eaters (BCHL). His professionalism on and off the ice and attention to small details prove his level of coaching to be elite. He can make adjustments around his goalies providing flexibility whether that be hopping on the ice 15 minutes before practice to work on tracking and skating, or by providing me with options to what I want to work on for our one on one goalie skates. This insures that I am feeling at the top of my game and confident. Away from the rink he offers zoom meetings to break down video clips from previous games covering both positive and constructive points which he would then work with me to improve upon. As a young goalie coach I felt his modern teaching style was beneficial as I was able to apply different techniques that fit my play style. My name is Jaiden Jakubowski and I play for the Osoyoos Coyotes. I met Pierce 2 years ago and started working with him that summer. I started working with Pierce this season and already have seen major improvements to my game. He asks me what I specifically want to work on and can make drills on the spot which tailor to what I feel I need to improve on. My name is Luke Lush and I am currently playing NCAA Division 1 hockey with the Rochester Institute of Technology. I grew up playing against Pierce, and from a young age, it was evident that he had a knack for what it takes to be an elite-level goaltender. As we both moved up the hockey ranks, I was fortunate to get to know him better as we began training on the ice together. In recent years, as we have both begun our coaching endeavors, it has been an absolute pleasure working alongside and under him. His unmatched passion and enthusiasm are on full display every time he hits the ice. My name is Jasper Tait and I play for the Summerland steam. I first met Pierce and started working with him this past summer, and enjoyed his in depth look at my game. He analyzed how I play and took an approach on what would be the best for my style. He is able to work with all types of goalies to achieve different goals no matter the circumstances. Not only was he a major help on the ice, but when I’m struggling with the mental side of goaltending he is able to be personal and help me through it. • I have played for Nipawin Hawks of the SJHL for 1 year and now the Flin Flon Bombers in the SJHL for 2 years and made one run to the finals. Pierce is an excellent guy to have around as a coach and as a friend. He does an excellent job of building a relationship with his goaltender while coaching. It makes things a lot easier to learn as a goaltender when you trust the person that’s teaching you. Pierce does a really good job of letting the goaltender play to their strengths instead of trying to change their game to be the same as someone else. With me I play an athletic style of game and Pierce has helped me with the smaller details instead of trying to change major things. On and off the ice he is a professional, but he keeps things light and fun while not overwhelming guys with information. Pierce is an extremely supportive person and takes a lot of pride in the success of his goaltenders. I have loved my time with him and I look forward to working more together.

• My name is Tyson Adams I play u17 OKR and am 15 years old. I have been working with pierce for over a year now and time with him off and on the ice is very valuable to improving my game. Every time some part of my game is off I’ll have a talk with him about it and pierce would help me by explaining what he notices the problem is and give me advice on how to fix the problem. Pierce has helped me achieve my goals as a goalie and would recommend him to younger goalies trying to improve.10/10 coach

• KIJHL Princeton Posse : My name is Nathan Preston, I play for the Princeton Posse in the KIJHL. I’ve worked with Pierce for the last 2 years and I have enjoyed every second of it. Pierce has been a huge impact on my game getting me prepared for camps and being a person I can always count on to have my back. Pierce puts in lots of effort and thought when planning out the practices, creating specific drills to you and what you need to progress. UBC Thunderbirds : I Play for the UBC Thunderbirds in USPORTS, and spent time in the WHL and BCHL. Getting to know Pierce last year,  I can positively say he is an excellent coach. Pierce is both knowledgeable and supportive, and he truly cares about his goalie's well-being and performance. I would recommend Pierce to any goalie looking to take their game to the next level. 

• KIJHL Summerland Steam - My name is Josh Muir and I play for the Summerland Steam. Pierce is our team goalie coach so he is really helpful with guiding and assisting me through out the season mentally. On the ice he has many great tips and good insight, and this sessions are useful.

U18 AA Central Zone Rockets My name is Griffen and this year I am playing with the Central Zone Rockets. My experience with Pierce has been nothing less than amazing. He gives his undivided attention to the goalies he is coaching without being asked. Not only does he put in the effort to be a great coach but he thinks like one as well. The quality of his pointers and advice has got me to be the goalie I am today. He is a great communicator and wants nothing but the best for all of his goalies!
